We carry out all chimney repairs, re-pointing brickwork, re-bedding chimney pots, and ensure the cowls are stable.
Over time, weathering and decay causes deterioration in the joints between the brickwork on chimneys. This allows the rain water to penetrate which can cause significant damage. If the bricks become loose, the chimney is then unstable and if left can fall causing damage to the roof and anything or anyone below it.
Re-pointing is the process of renewing the mortar joints between brickwork and usually all that is required to stabilise the brickwork on the chimney. So a small re-pointing job can save much expense and stress.
Re-pointing will also enhance the external appearance of the chimney/building.
We specialise in felt roofing, torch-on felt which is the most durable and long lasting out of all the felt materials available.
Three layers of materials are laid, following the roofing/building regulations.
Repairs can be made, when necessary to help lengthen the life span of the felt roof.
Felt is a cheaper alternative and therefore, more affordable out of the flat roofing products/materials.
When laying a new flat roof we remove all the old materials before laying the new material.

Rain water will disperse anywhere and can cause problems, leading to damp walls and ceilings so it's best to get them checked out and repaired sooner, rather than later.

Verges: mortar based roof verges crack and crumble with changeable weather conditions, birds also take advantage and widen the damaged mortar to utilise for nesting in. This leads to water ingress and affects the edges of the roof and the interior (loft space) causing further damage. We clean out and remove the old mortar and replace with new to secure the edges of the tiles and help keep the roof space dry.
We also install the new dry verge systems which offer more advantages and, do not require the constant repairs that the mortar based fixings do.
With the dry roofing systems no mortar is required making them more cost effective.
Ridges: ridge tiles that are fixed into place using mortar to secure them are vulnerable to damage by the wind driven rain. Over time, they will often suffer considerable damage with the mortar cracking and crumbling, resulting in the ridge tiles becoming displaced. We clean out the old mortar and replace with new mortar to secure them.
We also install the new dry ridge systems which offer more advantages and, do not require the constant repairs that the mortar based fixings do.
